Aidmatrix-India Developing Humanitarian Relief Throughout India

Aidmatrix President & CEO Gov. Scott McCallum is presently in India working with the Aidmatrix-India team and Aidmatrix-India Director Kuldip Nar. Aidmatrix-India has been extremely active in developing humanitarian relief throughout the region with strong support from the Indian government, more than 3,000 businesses and NGOs. The launch of the Corporate Disaster Resource Network (CDRN) in 2008, an initiative with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of India and Civil Society Organisations partners (CSO), helps corporations know how they can help disaster stricken people. By providing real time information on products and services needed during emergencies, the CDRN enables relief agencies to highlight their needs for donations and supplies. Recently the CDRN has responded for the Eastern India Storm that struck on the 13th of April, affecting over a million people. A partner brief for this is available at http://www.cdrn.org.in. In partnership with Global FoodBanking Network (GFN), Aidmatrix-India is working to enable FoodBanking in India through an India driven national forum and stakeholder coalition. They are attempting to create in-country capacity and resources which will possibly be the largest food banking operation in the world, catering to millions of those in need.

Orthopaedic LinkOrthopaedic Link, a nonprofit aid organization based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, has joined the Aidmatrix Network™ to drive their corporate donations outreach for surgical devices to combat musculoskeletal disease in the developing world. Orthopaedic Link will use Aidmatrix' In-Kind Donations Management module to enable corporations to post donation offers easily so that the NGOs they serve can view and accept the donations they need.  Using supply-chain technology Orthopaedic Link will be able to expand their donation process so that more surplus and first-generation medical devices are available at qualified surgical sites in developing countries to improve care for indigent patients.
