The year has just begun and our team is working hard on many fronts: the Haitian earthquake on January 12 has been a priority for us as it has for the world of humanitarian relief. We have had staff working round the clock in Port-Au-Prince, Washington D.C., and in our offices around the world supporting them every step of the way. We've built some new communities between transportation providers, private-sector donors, government agencies and NGOs. As of today, $48 million in donation offers have been made through our system, with more than 125 NGOs as registered users for Haiti relief efforts.

In addition, we've helped serve NATO's relief efforts for the severe flooding in Albania and the earthquake in Tajikistan. Our development team still delivered an on-time launch of the latest version of AgencyExpress which serves the USA's national network of food banks. We continue processing the thousands of pounds of medical and hunger relief that goes through our systems each month. I know you'll join me in standing proudly behind our team. Read below for more highlights of the work this past month.

USAID Sets Up Website to Connect NGOs with Business Community

haiti.govUSAID (United States Agency for International Development), in partnership with more than 100 non-governmental organizations (NGOs), has unveiled an online donations-management website to facilitate the public's assistance in the relief efforts for the Haitian earthquake. The technology, provided by Aidmatrix, is similar to a wedding registry where NGOs post the items they need most for the business community to view and the business community, in turn, uses the website to make donations of cash or in-kind products to fulfill those needs. Our Aidmatrix team has been stationed in Washington D.C. doing setup, training and rollout. The website is available to the general public at www.usaid.gov/haiti.

CARE Sets Up Relief Warehouse in Port-Au-Prince; Aidmatrix Is There

Supplies for HaitiCARE is making history by launching an online relief warehouse amidst the rubble in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. They are using web-based solutions, wireless technology and sheer resourcefulness to open an emergency relief warehouse where none existed just IADC sealdays earlier. Despite a ruined telecommunications infrastructure and countless challenges, CARE's team has established its own connectivity with satellite phones, VoIP lines - everything possible to help network one of the largest relief efforts in CARE's 65-year history.

- Our own Keith Thode was there to help in the initial set up and more work continues with an amazing team of relief workers.

Aidmatrix Thanks Our Supporters
Aidmatrix would like to thank our many gracious supporters, IADC sealincluding AT&T, Cisco, The Enrique and Maria Caponi Charitable Fund of the Schwab Charitable Fund, and the Scovell Family Fund, the David M. Munson and Mona Campbell Munson Fund and the Losinger Family Advised Fund of The Dallas CiscoFoundation. With the support of these foundations and our individual donors, we have been able to engage with dozens of nonprofits working in Haiti, governments leading Haiti response efforts, and companies who have large amounts of the products most needed by the nonprofits working in Haiti. Our technology is now available to more NGOs, but we can still use your help.

$25 could help us coordinate dozens of individual donation support drives

$250 could help us engage 5-10 corporate donors to the Haiti donations portal/website

$500 could help 50-100 agencies gain access to donation offers through the Aidmatrix portal/website

$2,000 could help establish 1-3 temporary Aidmatrix emergency portals for relief agencies
