Hurricane season begins June 1st, and Aidmatrix is working with our partners to be fully prepared. Members of our team participate in a monthly, FEMA-hosted National Donations Management Network (NDMN) conference call, where private sector partners, state and federal government leaders, and nonprofit partners share information and further the community's collective knowledge and processes around donations management. The Partner Call is held the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 10 am CT. FEMA is also helping to rollout NDMN exercises in 2009. FEMA region VII and Puerto Rico are leading the way and have already scheduled exercises for his summer.  Larry Buckner, FEMA Donations Management Specialist, is helping to lead this effort in conjunction with the State Donations Managers and the Voluntary Agency Liaisons (VALS).

Aidmatrix was recently named one of four finalists in 2 categories of the European Supply Chain Distinction Awards, in the categories of Best Value Chain Provider and the Supply Chain Innovation Award. The award winners will be determined by judges from AMR Research, C&C Group, Hewlett Packard, Honeywell , Mead Johnson, Pfizer, Procter & Gamble, and Supply Chain Europe Magazine. The winners will be announced June 9th.

Aidmatrix team members Melis Jones, Mike Seifert, and Michael Ross attended the National VOAD conference in Salt Lake City, UT, May 19-22. At the conference, they held a session entitled "Partners Helping Partners - Connecting the Key Players in Disaster Relief", in which they were able to collaborate with other VOAD and nonprofit partners in an effort to continue to enhance disaster relief.
