Wisconsin Partners With Aidmatrix Network® for Flood Recovery Efforts

MADISON, WI - August 18, 2008 - The Aidmatrix Foundation, Inc. today announced its partnership with the State of Wisconsin for the Aidmatrix Network® for Disaster Relief. The Aidmatrix Network® is a national disaster relief coordination system funded by FEMA, the UPS Foundation, Accenture, and the Aidmatrix Foundation, Inc. to better manage unsolicited donations and volunteers. It connects State and local governments with donors, State Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOADs), National VOAD, and FEMA through web-based tools that reduce paperwork for processing donations and allow for easy information sharing.

Wisconsin's portal on the Aidmatrix Network® will help with unsolicited Financial Referrals, In-Kind Donations Management, Warehouse Management and Volunteer Management during times of disaster. The need for joining the Network was highlighted by the recent Midwest Flooding that greatly impacted many citizens of the State of Wisconsin. Over 38,000 individuals have registered for assistance according to FEMA records. This number is larger than the number affected in either Iowa or Indiana.

This web-based system will help the State of Wisconsin manage the public response of spontaneous giving that comes during a disaster. The information will be collected electronically which, in turn, allows the State to easily communicate with its VOAD members.  The end result is that more quality donations can be processed and delivered to disaster victims more efficiently. Individuals and corporations can donate money, products and volunteer time directly on the website when fully functional.

The Aidmatrix Network® now covers more than 60% of the U.S. population. Its members are helping revolutionize the way in which humanitarian relief is processed. It is streamlining relief efforts with technology and relationships just like the supply chains used within the for-profit world. The solution suite includes management modules for: In-Kind Donations, Volunteers, Warehouse, and Financial Referrals.
