Ohio Partners With Aidmatrix Network® for Disaster Relief
Donations Management System to Help in Disaster Preparedness

DALLAS, TX - August 15, 2008 - The Aidmatrix Foundation, Inc. today announced its partnership with the State of Ohio for the Aidmatrix Network® for Disaster Relief. The Aidmatrix Network® is a national disaster relief coordination system funded by FEMA, the UPS Foundation, Accenture, and the Aidmatrix Foundation, Inc. to better manage unsolicited donations and volunteers. It connects State and local governments with donors, State Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOADs), National VOAD, and FEMA through web-based tools that reduce paperwork for processing donations and allow for easy information sharing.
Ohio's portal on the Aidmatrix Network® will help with unsolicited In-Kind Donations Management, Warehouse Management, Volunteer Management and Financial Referrals Management during times of disaster. The need for joining the Network was highlighted by the recent Midwest Flooding that greatly impacted Ohio's neighbors.
This web-based system will help the State of Ohio manage the public response of spontaneous giving that comes during a disaster. The information will be collected electronically which, in turn, allows the State to easily communicate with its VOAD members. The end result is that more quality donations can be processed and delivered to disaster victims more efficiently.
