DALLAS, TX - June 18, 2008 - The Aidmatrix Foundation, Inc. today announced a new partnership with the State of Iowa in the Aidmatrix Network® for Disaster Relief. The Aidmatrix Network® is a national disaster relief coordination system funded by FEMA, UPS, Accenture, and Aidmatrix Foundation, Inc. to better manage unsolicited donations and volunteers. It connects State and local governments with donors, State Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOADs), National VOAD, and FEMA through web-based tools that reduce paperwork and allow for easy information sharing.
 
The State of Iowa has launched www.flood2008.iowa.gov as the central site for information on relief efforts. Donors can make offers of goods, services, money or their own time using the Iowa site. Behind the scenes, it links into Iowa's portal on the Aidmatrix Network® to help with unsolicited In-Kind Donations Management, Volunteer Management and Financial Referrals Management.
 
This web-based system will help the State of Iowa manage public response of spontaneous giving. The information is collected electronically which, in turn, allows the State to easily communicate with the members of IDHRC, Iowa Disaster Human Resource Council, the State's VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) group. The end result is that more quality donations can be processed and delivered to the flood victims more efficiently.
