HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU

Happy 20th Anniversary to WMG

Greetings!

Thank you for being part of WMG and for your interest and support! We hope that 2012 will be filled with creativity, and that WMG will provide many memorable experiences in the year to come, as we will be offering a variety of exciting programs in celebration of our 20th anniversary.
Congratulations WMG! You are 20 Years Strong!

It's amazing that we have come this far: 20 years filled with art by 7000 women, and thousands of individuals who have contributed to WMG's history.
 Minimalism Exhibition
We are proud of WMG and all our achievements. Thanks to the work of board, staff, interns, and volunteers, and the contributions by members, donors, contributors, and most importantly, to the artists who have shown their work in 165 group shows, 103 invitational and solo shows, 36 Artisan Gallery exhibitions, and nine off-site shows that WMG has hosted since 1992.

You can see much of our history on our website. WMG is the only arts organization in the world that shows images of all exhibited works going back to the year 2001. Thousands of women world-wide access these web archives as a source of inspiration and strength.

Be Part of the Next 20 Years!

For those who are not yet part of the WMG community, there are many ways to get involved. You can become a member and/or submit to juried exhibitions. You can be a donor or sponsor, and we have several opportunities for that: the 20th Anniversary Marketing Campaign, and our April 20th Gala with live and silent auctions.Minimalism Opening

You might want to help WMG as a volunteer or consider serving on our Board of Directors. How about being a mentor for another woman artist? And we always appreciate art supplies and beads donations to our outreach workshops.

Please share with us an experience with WMG that has impacted you in some way. We would love to share it with others and use it as part of our ongoing celebration throughout 2012. Please email us your thoughts and/or feedback or you can make it Public right now!

You can read highlights of 2011 and what is in store in 2012 here: WMG Newsletter

Please share our Marketing Campaign with others who should know about WMG: we need to raise funds to pay for it!

We are most grateful to the many individuals who have made their year-end gift to WMG already. But if you haven't yet and can afford a donation, you can do so from our Website. Any time is a good time to donate to WMG to help keep our programs alive.
We want to hear from you...

As Woman Made Gallery celebrates its 20th anniversary, we invite you to share your fondest memories of the Gallery.

Do you remember WMG's first location on 4646 North  Rockwell or on 1900 S. Prairie Avenue? What was your first interaction with the Gallery? How did it feel to get into one of WMG's juried exhibitions? Have you connected with others because of WMG? Has WMG helped with your arts career or impacted your life in any way?

Please take a few minutes and send us your WMG related memories by email: gallery@womanmade.org.

If you are sending in your memories by January 31, you will be entered into a drawing to win one of Janet Bloch's books: Strategic Marketing Tools for Visual Artists. And as a special gift from Janet Bloch to you click here to download her Action Plan for 2012. It is most helpful!

Thank You!

Woman Made Gallery is supported in part by grants from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency; a CityArts grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events; the Arts Work Fund for Organizational Development, a donor-advised fund of the Chicago Community Trust; the Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation; The Efroymson Family Fund, a CICF Fund; a major anonymous donor; and the generosity of its members and contributors.

Thank you for being part of our journey and history. We hope and wish for many more years to come.

Sincerely, Beate and Ruby
