In "Bodily Functions" Ruby Thorkelson presents an abstracted but salacious post-adolescent reawakening. Exploring the concept of input and output in relation to the human body, she constructs drawings, comics, and mixed-media work about understanding and overcoming dominant cultural standards of beauty, sexuality, and gender.
