The Escondido Public Library's Business Center offers free online research tools to library cardholders, including market research databases that would typically require a paid subscription costing hundreds of dollars. Some, including Reference USA, don't even require you to be at the Library - they are accessible from any computer with a Web connection. New Commercial Recycling Regulations Take Effect July 1
Starting July 1, 2012, businesses and public entities that generate four cubic yards or more of waste per week and multifamily units of five or more will be required to recycle. Over the past several months, Escondido Mayor Sam Abed has met with almost two dozen local businesses. From retailers to manufacturers, large operations to one-person shops, he wants to hear first-hand the experiences of the local business community. These are informal discussions to answer questions and gather feedback, and all Escondido businesses are encouraged to participate.
