MarthaMeet Martha Randall

Martha Randall and Nia - A 15 year love affair!

When Martha and Nia met in 1996 it was love at first step. Martha wanted a practice that invited infinite possibility into a practical and body-centered system of education and Nia wanted teachers who were committed to the transformative power of exploring fitness, fun and freedom the Nia Way. Martha's students lovingly call her The Queen of Nia as she has been a leader and visionary for The Nia Technique in Toronto and across Canada for many years.

Martha Randall

Martha is one of two Canadian trainers offering the Nia White Belt and Green Belt intensive trainings. Her dance training at York University and subsequent study of contact improvisation, karate, yoga, butoh, clowning, Pilates and 5 Sacred Rhythms ensure that her movements emerge from a depth of very personal experience. Her passion for physical, pyschological, emotional, and spiritual vibrancy ensures that her facilitation in class and training settings is compassionate, intuitive and precise.

ProducersMeet the Producers of the Bowen Island White Belt Training

Deborah Bramm and Carol Cram

Carol Cram and Deborah Bramm are producing their first ever White Belt training on Bowen Island! Both Carol and Deborah completed their White Belt training with Martha Randall. Deborah has known and danced with Martha since the 1990's in Toronto.

In 2010, Carol and Deb traveled together to Studio Nia in Portland where they took their Green Belts with Carlos Rosas. It was an incredible experience! Deb and Carol also both have their Blue Belts.

Deb has taught Nia for over twelve years. She was also Carol's first Nia teacher. As Carol says, "I took one look at the expression on Deborah's face as she was dancing and I knew I'd found the perfect movement practice for me." Carol took her White Belt training in 2009 and has been teaching ever since.

Both Deb and Carol teach Nia classes on Bowen Island and on the North Shore.
