Moisture Management?
 | | What is the moisture content of your wood? If you are in this business you need a moisture meter! |
Don't be fooled... if you are in the lumber or siding and trim business (architect, builder, contractor, re-modeler, distributor, lumber dealer, manufacturer... sales or service), you need to know and understand a thing or two regarding moisture content (MC) and the products you make, sell, spec, or install.
As a factory finisher, at NPPS, we do not put a coating on any wood trim or wood siding product that has more than 19% MC. In fact, we like the MC to be well under 19%. We monitor the MC of ALL products that we coat to ensure that everything we touch is well within the limits of the substrate and the coating being used.
While there are many benefits to using NPPS factory finishing, one of the most important benefits is that we monitor the moisture content of all the material that we run. As long as the factory finished material is not exposed to unnecessary moisture between our finishing plant and the job site - the end result for YOU as an architect, builder, contractor, re-modeler, lumber dealer, and distributor is:
- No callbacks due to wood movement, premature rot or decay, and discolored fasteners
When the material that Northern Priming factory finishes is transported correctly and installed correctly, it will keep you from wasting valuable time, money, and resources on upset customers. We will help you spend more time doing what you do best by delivering happiness with every order.
