Our two Roundtable Awards were presented in a morning session - Youth Festival and Have a Heart were a great hit! |

Jonathan Martin |
The CSO announced last week - Executive Director, Jonathan Martin, has been tapped to lead the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Each of us whom Jonathan has touched with his intelligence, grace and humor wish him well in these new, exciting endeavors!
The CSO Board of Directors
remains committed to the vision, position initiatives and leadership he has shared with our symphonic community over his four-year tenure.

We've Gone Virtual!
As of May 31st, we closed the Symphony Guild office on Mockingbird Lane and are now operating virtually! Long story short, we downsized from 500 sq.ft. to 50 sq.ft. and saved the Guild $7,000 a year!!

Meet Elizabeth
We welcome Elizabeth Connor as our new Office Administrator! We have been without an office employee since November of last year. The Management and Planning team has been handling tasks as necessary.
| |
Elizabeth Connor, Entrepreneur
AND Guild Office Administrator! |
When our office employee resigned, we took the opportunity to assess the job description for the position now titled Office Administration, and made appropriate changes to reflect a virtual office, updated technology and more accountability. Elizabeth has all the skills we need.
In addition, Elizabeth has knowledge of the Charlotte Symphony which she gained during her internship there. Many of you may know Elizabeth already - a Guild member who joined last year, one of the first of a new generation of volunteers. Elizabeth is a born entrepreneur. Her part-time business, Made by Elizabeth, utilizes her significant artistic skills in the manufacture and sales of handmade candles and soaps.
You can contact Elizabeth via the Guild's email:

Guild Wraps Up the Year in Style
The Spring Membership Meeting was held in the lovely backyard of Susan and Ralph Brackett. Sixty members attended and enjoyed delicious appetizers and refreshing drinks while socializing by the pool and in the lovely wooded surroundings.
The business meeting included recognizing and thanking the "retiring" officers, committee chairs, and Board members, as well as welcoming the upcoming 2012-13 Board of Officers and Directors.
Our next Membership Meeting will be held in the Fall. Happy Summer to everyone and we look forward to seeing you at the Fall Meeting! |
