Twaunette Sharpe will Graduate from Texas Southern University as a Member of the Class of 2014

The Washington DC based AARP Foundation, awarded former SEARCH client, Twaunette Sharpe, a college scholarship for their Women's Scholarship Program. Twaunette earned her GED from SEARCH's Adult Learning Center in June, 2010 and subsequently enrolled in Houston Community College's Associates Degree Program. When she completes her degree, she will move on to Texas Southern University's School of Social Work where she will focus on her clinical degree, helping those with alcohol and drug addictions. Twaunette is the first SEARCH GED graduate to receive a competitive grant to continue her secondary education.

Drop off your generous donations to SEARCH, at 2505 Fannin, between 7AM - 7PM, seven days a week. Ring the bell and a SEARCH staff member will accept your contribution.
