Members of our Example Jewelry Team love using this patterned brass sheet metal to create custom-made jewelry components. Cut the textured sheet into shapes for riveting, layering, dangling and more (see the "Egyptian Garden" earrings below for an example). Or, use as texture plates for polymer clay and metal clay.

You can also achieve an etched metal look without etching chemicals! To do this, tape a sheet of smooth soft metal (like copper) on top of the patterned brass sheet, then pound with a regular utility hammer to transfer the pattern. See the "Earth Laughs Flowers" earrings and bracelet below for examples.

A Thundering Apology About Thunder Agate
Thunder Agate from Rings & Things Recently, we added beads to our gemstone line which we thought were cut from Lake Superior Agate mined at the Thunder Bay Mine in Ontario, Canada. We have now correctly identified the stone as Thunder Agate. We apologize, and are happy to offer this correction. While our Thunder Agate is not from the Thunder Bay Mine in Ontario, its properties are almost identical to those of Lake Superior Agate. We hope you will enjoy adding Thunder Agate to your designs, along with the rest of our gemstone beads!
