Greetings!
To start off our newsletter this month, we have some very exciting news to share! Our very own Seth Luginbill and Laura Beechy are engaged! Seth is our Land Steward and Facilities Manager and has been part of the Pacific Rim/Au Sable community for over six years. Laura is a former Food Service Manager for our college program and is currently a volunteer. They will be having a Whidbey Wedding next May.
Please join us in congratulating Seth & Laura!

September Happenings
Whidbey Raptor Day
The 2nd Annual Whidbey Raptor Day exceeded our expectations and literally flew up into the sky. Falconers Steve Layman, Joel Gerlach and Elliot Behre spent an afternoon sharing with us their winged friends. A Great horned owl, a Red-tailed hawk, a Saker falcon and a Harris's hawk were all presented to the crowd of over 60 community members. Missed it? Keep an eye out for next year's event!
Benefit Garage Sale
Thank you to everyone that donated, volunteered and bought items for our Benefit Garage Sale! We raised over $1,000 and were able to donate all the remaining items to the Coupeville Lions for their annual garage sale. We are definitely considering making this a regular event, so if you come across good items throughout the year that you would like to donate, give us a call! (360) 678-5586
Donors
2 new donors joined the Pacific Rim Institute community in September. Thank you so much to everyone that has given this month. Your donations are critical.
Would you like to introduce a friend to the Pacific Rim Institute? We would be happy to host you and a friend for tea and a chat with CEO, Robert K. Pelant. Let us know if you can help us spread the word about PRI!
