Greetings!

The new year has brought a heightened energy to the Pacific Rim Institute.  We expect 2011 to bring several critical changes, including: completion of the Navy Easement contract, completion of Conservation Futures Fund award, the transfer of the Au Sable property to Pacific Rim Institute, and several new partnerships.  We prayerfully move forward with these endeavors and thank you for continuing to walk this adventurous path with us.

Our present need is for regular donations.  If you are interested in becoming a sustaining monthly donor, please visit our website or give us a call at the office and talk with Holly or Robert.

January Happenings
Debris in Prairie

1 New Grant Proposal

We Submitted a grant to the Horizons Foundation in Seattle to help fund the removal of several coops and many of the debris piles still left on site.  Unfortunately, our grant request was declined.  We are still looking for creative ways to tackle this big project, so if you have an ideas please let us know!

New Intern

Caitlin Peterson, Intern

We welcomed Caitlin Peterson, University of Wisconsin Madison, to the PRI family this month.  She will be with us through May helping with restoration, research, and education.  If you see her, give her a big welcome and tell her your favorite place on Whidbey - she is very eager to explore our beautiful home!

Donors

In the month of January, we had 5 completely new donors join the community of PRI supporters.  Thank you so much!
