Greetings! ,
The Class Meetings for January will provide you with an opportunity to preview the program that your child will be moving into in August 2012 or in the years to come. The teachers will present an overview of the students' day and students will give demonstrations of typical lessons at each level. These meetings will be informative and fun!
If you are the parent of a toddler, you are invited to the meeting at the Primary level designed especially for you.
Likewise, if you are the parent of a Primary student, you are invited to the meeting in the Cassatt Room (Lower Elementary).
If you are the parent of a Lower Elementary student, you are invited to the Picasso Room (Upper Elementary).
And if you are the parent of an Upper Elementary student, you are invited to the Angelou Room (Secondary).
The faculty at each level is excited to show their programs to the parents of the students who will be joining them in the coming years.
The Community Meeting this month will focus on the benefits of a Montessori education from a student's point of view.
Tori Miller, a recent NewGate graduate, was home for the holidays and we did an interview with her. In the interview she explains how NewGate prepared her for her college experience.
Hannah Voic, who will graduate from NewGate in June, 2012, and has attended our school since she was at the Primary level, plans to join us at the meeting and will speak about her Montessori experience.
It would be great to have big crowd at our meeting for these heartfelt presentations!
Childcare will be provided. We encourage students at the Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary levels to join their parents for the Class Meetings.
If you cannot make the Class Meetings this month, we encourage you to save the date for the February 16th Class Meetings, when we will present the same program overviews.
It is very important as you look to the future of your child's education to attend at least one of these meetings.
We look forward to seeing all of you.
Sincerely,

Lorna McGrath Associate Head of School |
