Help us promote our school on Saturday, November 12 at Sarasota Naturally - downtown Sarasota. Lorna could use your help with the booth for an hour during the day. Call the school
if you can help.

The weather is changing. For the cooler mornings you might want to stop by Children's World on Bee Ridge Rd. to purchase a NewGate fleece hoodie for your child.

Dear

We would just like to take a minute in the midst of so many wonderful things that are happening at NewGate School to thank all of you for supporting your children and our school community!

Here are just some of the things that have happened and are just about to happen in the month of November:

International Children's Day was a huge success - People from our NewGate community as well as from the Greater Sarasota community came to share their heritage with our students in the form of activities from Korea, Japan, Ecuador, Poland, Africa, Scotland, and Israel.

Caterpillars from our own gardens were harvested and provided with an indoor environment so that our students could witness the awesome metamorphosis as monarch butterflies emerged!

Three separate resource groups from the Sarasota community came into school to share their expertise with our students - raising and caring for many breeds of chickens, developing worm farms, and training guide dogs.

The Talent Show was fun for all who attended! Nina and Trinity worked for many hours planning and preparing for the event with the help of their parents and fellow students. The proceeds will go to improving our playground area.

And still to come this week is In The Pink! This is a lovely annual event for parents and friends to enjoy good food, beverages, music, and great company in a beautiful evening setting.

Grandparents Day - Tuesday, November 22. This is a wonderful morning for our students to share their work with special adults in their lives.

Not to mention work in the classroom gardens, attendance at class and community meetings, support for those who are ill or grieving, and so much more.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
