Before we know it  summer will be over and we will celebrate the beginning of New Gate's 28th school year.  We expect 2011 - 2012 will be a time of renewal and new growth!    

 

Please join us on Thursday August 18th at 6:30 pm to welcome new families and hold our first monthly Class and Community Meetings. Unfortunately, child care will not be available for the August meeting.

 

The follow evening, Friday, August 19th, you and your family are invited to join us for the annual Back To School Potluck Dinner at 6:30 pm.

 

We hope to see all of you here at the Ashton Road Campus to celebrate the beginning of our new year.

 

Speaking of celebration, we want to express once again our heartfelt appreciation for your support. We recognize that your decision to send your children to New Gate, and give them the gift of a Montessori education, is based on faith and trust in both your children and our school.  We gladly accept that responsibility.   

 

Your choice to be an active member of the New Gate school community speaks volumes about you as a family. In an age when most people allow others, or the mass media, to shape their thoughts, decisions, and behavior, Montessori parents, and our children, tend to  think outside of the box and think for ourselves!  

 

Summer Packets:  We have just sent out in today's mail a packet for each family with a printed copy of this year's parent handbook and information and several forms that are pertinent to your child.

As a compendium of the school's rules and procedures, the Parent Handbook may not be a compelling 'read.'  It does, however, provide important information.  

 

 

Thank you for taking the time to review the handbook, refresh your recollection of our procedures, and complete any papers that need to be signed.

 

One essential document is the parent's acknowledgement of receipt of this year's Parent Handbook. There is a copy in the packet being mailed to your home, or you can download a PDF copy from the link below. This, along with several forms that require completion, are also enclosed and need to be returned to the school office well before school starts. Please get them back to us as quickly as possible.
