Your Guide to Northern Virginia Fireworks

Fourth of July fireworks on the National Mall are spectacular, but if you don't want to tackle crowds on the Metro, the good news is that there are plenty of terrific fireworks displays right in our own backyard.  Here's our pick of the best that Northern Virginia has to offer for Independence Day celebrations.
Fairfax Salutes America
Fairfax Fireworks - Saturday, July 3

Fairfax Salutes America with a parade that winds through the historic downtown area of Fairfax City between 10 a.m. and Noon on Saturday. Don't miss it!  Then, bring a blanket and picnic and enjoy live music from the City of Fairfax Band and Eric Felten and Swing Set beginning at 7 p.m. at Fairfax High School, followed by fireworks at night.  (No parking at Fairfax High School, but you can park at Woodson High School and take the free shuttle bus between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.)  Click here for a full event schedule.
