Clearing up confusion on the issues of traffic and water Supporter Larry Daniels has sent an illuminating Letter to the Editor that we wanted to share with you. In it, Larry clearly explains why shorter trips and local shopping reduces traffic on Highway 68 and how the use of bio-swales and underground storm water retention systems can actually improve underground water recharge rates compared to no project at all.

Subdivision Hearing on Thursday Supporters invited to speak at 9:40 am on July 29
The county's subdivision committee consists
of six county staff members and one planning commissioner. The
Phelps Family project requires a standard subdivision tentative map to
divide two existing lots of record into seven lots. We are asking the committee to support removal of the B-8 zoning overlay so the subdivision can occur. We will be preparing a short summary of the issues involved to help educate anyone who can attend and speak at the hearing.
