Only 4 days until the May 1 Walk Against Hunger!
Together, let's stop hunger in our community.
Gifts of Love has formed a team for the Walk Against Hunger May 1!! We have accepted a challenge from Foodshare to help fight hunger in Central Connecticut. We hope that you'll consider joining our team or sponsoring one of our walkers. The regional food bank serves 100,000 people in Hartford and Tolland counties each year by supporting local organizations such as Gifts of Love. We couldn't assist our clients without help from Foodshare - our partner in hunger prevention.

Gifts of Love Day at Jarrett's Castle
Sat, April 30th ~10am-4pm
Winding Trails, 50 Winding Trails Dr, Farmington
Join Gifts of Love as we attempt to build the World's Largest Sandcastle at JARRETT'S CASTLE on Saturday, April 30 from 10am-4pm. Families and Children invited! No need to bring shovels or buckets- they will be provided. Wear boots and hop into the sand as we carry buckets of sand to help build the castle. Lots of fun for children. ($10 donation per family suggested.)

Committee! The NIGHT OUT IN STYLE Committee will plan, organize and execute the largest benefit for Gifts of Love on Friday, November 11, 2011. The event raises money which support the many programs which help families in need locally. Lots of new & exciting changes this year!

Help Gifts of Love Stamp Out Hunger
Join millions of Americans who will help to end hunger on May 14. Stamp Out Hunger is the nation's largest annual single-day food drive!
Simply place bags filled with nonperishable food items like canned
meats, fish, soup, juice, vegetables, pasta, cereal and rice next to your mailbox on Saturday, May 14th.
Your letter carrier will pick up the bags and deliver them to the post office
Volunteers from Gifts of Love will pick up all donations, sort them and get them on the shelves for our neighbors in need
Gifts of Love helps clients meet their families' most basic needs - food on the table, a winter coat, or a bed to sleep in - and enable them to focus on putting their lives back in order and regaining their independence. This basic mission has become increasingly difficult with the sluggish economy and the rapid rise in the cost of basic needs such as food, home heating oil and gasoline.
