Cost Accountant - Columbus, Ohio
Position with an outstanding manufacturing company in South Columbus, Ohio!!
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cost accounting close process, to include ERP system and transaction maintenance.
- Maintain standard cost system, to include assigning appropriate costs to new products, development of labor and overhead rates, updating outside processor unit costs and annual standard product cost update.
- Execute cycle count program, to include periodic verification of precious metals inventories.
- Perform cost accounting monthly close activities and provide product line income statements with supplemental analysis schedules.
- Analyze and maintain appropriate reserves for excess and obsolete inventory.
- Provide detailed manufacturing and spending variance, inventory and product cost analysis as required.
- Work with accounts payable on key suppliers as it relates to invoices and purchase order receipts to ensure proper matching.
- Provide inter-company inventory/cost schedules as required.
- Interface with external auditors on issues related to inventory and manufacturing cost accounting.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Accounting or Finance required.
- 5+ years directly related experience with cost accounting and financial analysis and reporting (experience performing these activities in a manufacturing setting is highly desired).
- Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Word and Outlook). Ability to use pivot tables a plus.
- Proficient with the use of fully integrated ERP systems (preferably windows based application), with the ability to develop analytical reports.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain effective systems and processes to meet organizational requirements and internal controls.
- Exposure to inventory control / cycle count programs a plus.
- Ability and willingness to contribute as an effective member of various group project teams.
- Strong customer service focus and ability and willingness to deliver on commitments made.

Manager of Financial Reporting/Controller - North of Columbus, Ohio
Manager of Financial Reporting/Controller position with a very stable company! Responsibilities

Internal and external financial reporting, including SEC filings and annual report GAAP & SEC research, compliance and implementation

Data Conversion Specialist - Columbus, Ohio The Data Conversion Specialist is responsible for using various tools to complete data conversions from other software packages. Responsibilities include performing activities such as: SQL scripting, data mapping, data modeling, data cleansing, and data transfer. This position requires the ability to work as a team member, have regular interaction with customers, and the ability to maintain good working relationships between the team and the customer.
Responsibilities -
Analyzes and documents scope of work for data conversion projects.

Uses all available software applications to complete data processing jobs in a timely and accurate manner.

Coordinates the conversion of various types of customer data.

Responsible for converting data from multiple data sources including text files, MS Excel, MS Access, and MS SQL using Pervasive.

Communicates project status to customers and works with customers on verifying that data is converted correctly.

Identifies issues and takes the proper actions to resolve them.

Maps data fields from the customer's legacy files to the appropriate target fields, and reviews the results with the customer.

Responsible for running validation processes to ensure conversion accuracy.

Ability to quickly gain working knowledge of product to review converted data with customers and answer questions. Assumes responsibility for conversion related support calls from all customers. Deploys new releases to customers via the internet. Provides customer support for retiring legacy system until fully transitioned.
