Tuesday, March 20
7:00 - 9:00pm in Room 2765 at the John Stanford Center, 2445 3rd Ave. S., Seattle 98134
Please join us for our Seattle Special Education PTSA General Meeting, where Dr. Cassie Martin will be our guest speaker.
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Martin who will present her research findings on inclusion in Seattle Public Schools. The purpose of Dr. Martin's study was to describe a process for teachers, administrators, and families to examine existing structures that support inclusion in their schools and in their children's schools. The study used Appreciate Inquiry, a process that identifies an organization's strengths and what is working well within the system, to show how stakeholders can take a more active role in supporting education reform.
We hope you will join us! Bring a friend!

Ron McGlone Named to New SPS Position of District Ombudsman
-From SPS
In an effort to help Seattle Public Schools families better navigate the customer service process; Interim Superintendent, Dr. Susan Enfield, has appointed current SPS Enrollment and Customer Service Outreach Coordinator, Ron McGlone, to the newly created position of District Ombudsman.
The current SPS conflict resolution process directs parents to first talk with their child's teacher, then the principal, then the executive director who oversees the child's school. Ron McGlone will work with families to resolve disputes that have not been settled through that process.
Starting March 19, Ron McGlone can be contacted by phone at (206) 252-0529 or email at ombudsman@seattleschools.org.
