Seattle Council PTSA Still Has Grants to Give to Eligible PTA/PTSA's - Why Not Apply?

It is not too late to apply for a grant to attend the upcoming PTA and the Law. A Leadership Grant for qualifying PTSA's can help with the fee for this required training scheduled for January 26 and February 4(see details on PTA and the Law in this eNews). An effort will be made to reply swiftly to applicants who want to attend the upcoming training.

The Arts Grant opportunity might be of interest to your PTSA, if you haven't held your Reflections Awards Ceremony yet or have a specific arts enrichment opportunity at your school.

Consider the Family Engagement Grant if your PTSA has a plan to get more families involved at your school or you would like to increase PTSA membership.  If your school is planning an all school event that wants to reach out to a particular segment of the school population then read about this grant.

For information and an application on any of the grants listed please go to www.seattlecouncilptsa.org and click on GRANTS.  Questions? Go to grants@seattlecouncilptsa.org

School Budget Nuts and Bolts

Monday, February 13
6:30-8:30pm at the John Stanford Center, Rooms 2772-2774

Join us at our next Seattle Council PTSA General Meeting where we will discuss the nuts and bolts of school allocations plus an update on the State Budget and how that impacts SPS.  This is a great opportunity for PTA/PTSA Presidents, Treasurers, PTA Budget Committee members and BLT (Building Leadership Team) reps to understand school budgets.  Been through school budgets lots of times before?  Come share your experiences with PTSA leaders who are new to the process.

SCPTSA Board member Andrea Baumgarten will facilitate this discussion.  School Board President, Michael DeBell and Sherry Carr, School Board Chair for Audit and Finance, will be at the meeting to answer questions.
