Reminder: 2011 Parent Summit

Saturday, August 20

7:30am to 1:30pm at Cleveland High School, 5511 15th Avenue South, Seattle, 98108

 

The Seattle Alliance of Black School Educators and the U.S. Department of Education, in Partnership with Seattle Public Schools, invite you to attend the 2011 Parent Summit. SPS Interim Superintendent, Dr. Susan Enfield and members of the Department of Education, the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, and the Office of Civil Rights will be speaking.

 

One of the main topics to be discussed will be the Reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary School Act, also known as No Child Left Behind. Other topics to be covered include: School Reform, Parent and Family Engagement and Seattle Public Schools Initiatives.  

 

All parents are invited to attend this free and important event. Interpreter services will be provided in Spanish, Somali, Chinese, Tagalog, Amharic and Vietnamese.
