AREA DIVISIONS
GOAL: PROMOTE REGIONAL CONNECTIONS
Ideally, there would be an area director helping PTAs at K-5s and K-8s in each middle school attendance area. The hope is that by promoting partnerships and connections within elementary school clusters, we can build stronger support systems for the middle schools they feed into.

Separate directors would then assist middle and high school PTSAs to address concerns specific to them. (K-8s, you can tap both support systems, as needed).

May have a PTO or may not have a parent-teacher group

PTA/PTSA gives members a powerful voice -- in their schools and their district, but also regionally, statewide and nationally. But the strength of PTA is tied to the health and stability of our network.

Please let us know if you can step up - particularly as an area director, but also if you want to be more active with enrichment, legislative or district advocacy issues.

Sincerely,

Ramona Hattendorf, president
Seattle Council PTSA
