Gaylon Richey Remembered
On July 29th, we said goodbye to a great man, Gaylon Richey and on August 1st, at the First Baptist Church in Blanchard, we celebrated his impact on us as individuals and on us as a community. It was clear by the overwhelming attendance and standing room only, that Gaylon did want he did best, leave his mark on those who crossed his path.
The thoughts of praise for both Gaylon, his belief in God and the people around him will carry him for eternity in the hearts of his family and friends. His son, Trent Richey braved his emotions to continue to carry Gaylon's message to those in attendance. The beautiful music, which resinated in the hearts of those there, was uplifting and amazingly beautiful.
It is truly a sad day that the joy that Gaylon brought will not be a daily reminder of how we can be better people, but the love that is in the hearts of those who did get a chance to know him can rejoice that his memory and legacy will carry on. Our prayers and sympathy to the Richey family as they continue to live each day to the fullest.
