Oklahoma's annual 2011 sales tax holiday will begin at 12:01 am on Friday, August 5th and end at twelve midnight on Sunday, August 7th. The sales tax holiday gives shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain clothing and shoes free of sales tax. This includes state, city, county and local municipality sales taxes.
Retailers are required to participate and may not charge tax on items that are legally tax-exempt during the sales tax holiday. The sales tax holiday exempts the sale of clothing and shoes priced at less than $100 from sales taxes. |

Connect to Smartphone Users
If you have a smartphone or have a customer (or 2) that do, a QR code is a great way to get traffic to your website. It is also a quick reference for specific promotional efforts. For example the Chamber has 3 at this time and will have at least 2 more. We currently have one for the Chamber, Membership Information and the Farmers Market.
The smartphone user will need to have a QR reader app installed on their phone. Some iphone apps are: QR Reader for Iphone, Zappit and I-nigma, there are additional ones for blackberrys and andriod phones.
How do I create one? They are usually free to create as long as you visit one of those sites. Ours was created at www.beetag.com but there are many to choose from. You can just type in your search engine - create a qr code and go from there. Be sure to take advantage of the largest size so that clarity will not be an issue.
Take advantage of the potential increase in traffic to your website and potential to your business. It's free! and easy! |
