We have worked hard to continue to provide valuable information at each luncheon while also expanding the opportunities for our membership to network in a comfortable atmosphere.
We have been averaging between 45 to 60 in attendance.

Cost of sponsorship is $400. Sponsorship includes a 2 minute presentation at the beginning of the meeting, company logo on all publicity and tables and all business cards submitted for the free lunch drawing. (Trade option is available - contact us for more information)

Multi Chamber Luncheon
MCLThe Newcastle Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the first ever area Multi Chamber Luncheon on July 26 at 11:45am at the Newcastle Multi Purpose Center. Blanchard and Tuttle Chamber members will be joining us for an afternoon of networking and continuing our efforts to unify our area. We are currently working to secure a keynote speaker and once that information is secured we will forward the information.

This luncheon will be taking the place of the regularly scheduled luncheon for July. However this will be treated different in that RESERVATIONS WILL BE REQUIRED due to the limited space. Please mark your calendars and stay tuned for further details...
 
Interested in sponsoring this event? Due to the increased attendance the cost of sponsorship is $800. Sponsorship includes a 2 minute presentation at the beginning of the meeting, introduction of keynote speaker, reserved seating for 4 with the keynote speaker, company logo on all publicity and tables and all business cards submitted for the free lunch drawing.

BanquetBanquet/Auction Task Force - January 26 at the Chamber Office 12:00pm

We will be continuing the finalization of  the plans and as well as the collection of unique auction items.

If you are interested in helping with the auction portion of the event, please let us know. We are looking for those who are willing to talk to attendees, encourage bidding and overall NETWORK - NETWORK - NETWORK.

We have a new opportunity associated to the auction, we will be asking for auction monitors. These energetic individuals will help encourage our bidders - you will be our "EGGER ONERS". It is a fun way to interact with the other attendees. For more information, contact us!!!

 

 

Auction Items

We are looking for interested parties that would like to donate an item for the auction. You can provide the item of your choice that best represents your business. Do you have a friend that has a side business, maybe they too would be interested in donating an item.

 

These donations are PERFECT advertising and promotion options. We would also like business cards and/or brochures to be provided with the item for interested attendees.

ODOTODOT Planned Rail Public Meetings

 

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is conducting two rail plan meetings in Lawton on Thursday, February 3rd.

 

The first meeting is for stakeholders (2:30-4:00) and the second is a public meeting (4:30-6:00). 

 

These meetings will be held at the CETES Conference Center at Cameron University.  These are the only meetings that will be taking place in SW Oklahoma and it is very important that our part of the state is represented. 

 

Any business that has an existing or future interest in rail should please attend the stakeholders meeting, as should County Commissioners, State Representatives and Senators, economic development professionals and city leaders. 

 

All others please feel free to attend the public meeting. 

ACOGACOG sets 2011 Legislative Agenda

Results from a regional online survey of ACOG member communities have helped the Association develop a prioritized list of federal and state legislative issues of concern to local governments in the region. Following are the top state issues, ranked in order of importance to ACOG membership:

 

  1. Oppose all additional sales tax exemptions.
  2. Leave local personnel issues to local decision-makers.
  3. Encourage state funding for Central Oklahoma highways and transit options.
  4. Protect state water resources for in-state use.
  5. Support additional appropriations to the OWRB water fund to address municipal water and wastewater infrastructure needs.
  6. Support the Rural Economic Action Plan (REAP).

Federal issues of importance:

  1. Address Highway Trust Fund and fully appropriate funding for transportation infrastructure.
  2. Prohibit unfunded federal mandates, and provide funding to meet new regulations.
  3. Preserve local authority regarding right-of-way fees and land-use controls.
  4. Collect local and state sales (use) taxes on mail order and Internet sales.
  5. Support community development programs such as CDBG, workforce development, EDA, fire protection and Enterprise Zones.
  6. Evaluate effects of union controls over local government expenses.
  7. Support continued viability of Tinker Air Force Base.
  8. Reduce health care and insurance costs.

TCGTTri City's Got Talent

 
The Newcastle Band and Choir Boosters will be hosting the first ever Tri City Got Talent Show. This is Amatuer Talent Competition will be open to ALL residents of Blanchard, Bridge Creek, Newcastle and Tuttle who are 12 years of age or older. All types of acts will be encouraged to participate, such as: Singers, Instrumentialists, Dancers, Bands, Novelty Acts, Cheerleading Squads, Concert/Church/Show Choirs, etc.

Auditions limited to the first 50 acts to register. Prelimiary auditions will be February 12, 2011 beginning at 2:00pm at the Newcastle Middle School. (Judges will be professionals from outside the Tri City Area). An unspecified number of acts will be selected by the judges to compete in the final showcase competition.
