BIG EVENT - COME CELEBRATE WITH US |

Rrrick Runs His Age on His Birthday
On his birthday January 13th, Rrrick Karampatsos plans to run his age in miles. That is 66 miles and that adds up to more than 2 and a half marathons. Starting at noon Rrrick will be in the club finishing up the miles he will have started that morning. We are going to have a party celebrating his run.
Bring in a friend to the club (we are opening the doors to the public) and we will celebrate together. There will be free food and drink as well as party favors for everyone who attends. You can work-out, or hang out and cheer Rrrick on.
Come on out and let's have fun!!! |
HOW TO MAKE A RESOLUTION By Rebecca Derossett | MSW, LICSW |
|
This is an excerpt from a great article you can pick up at the club
When making a new resolution for 2011, begin with the end in mind. This is my all-time favorite tip. By focusing on the end result, you are training your mind to think like someone who has already reached the top. You are visualizing your success. Remember: What we think about directs our behavior. It's a trick the pros use to maintain their edge.
Here's how this works
If your goal is to lose 20 pounds by June 1, begin your weight loss journey by visualizing yourself already 20 pounds lighter. Imagine yourself at a better fitness level. How does it feel? How do you look? Visualize yourself with less back pain, being more flexible, and waking up well-rested. Imagine the role model you will be for your children. Imagine how proud you will feel about yourself when the scale drops a solid 20. |
