Building Our Team
With progress being made on our location, we are in the process of interviewing potential new team members.
We are currently searching for experienced trainers interested in working out of a fun, well equipped health club. , if you know a good trainer that you really like. Send them on to Richard at richard.ryan@anytimefitness.com or (813) 567-1057.
We are also considering adding to our club management team. If you know someone who is great with inspiring folks, send them to Richard as well.

Could it be March?
If you have driven by, you might notice the signs are up. You might also have noticed that we are cutting holes in the north wall to let some light in (we love light.) So it is all starting to take shape.
The inside of the club is still a big mess with hammers, saws and drills whirling constantly, but the good news is they are all working hard and fast. We don't yet have an official date to open yet but we do feel good enough to say we think it will be sometime late in March (after Strawberry Festival we expect.) Now don't mark your calendar yet, still a great deal of work to do, but we think that is roughly the time table.
So we will start our Pre-Opening Sale soon and this will be your opportunity to enroll with Anytime Fitness Plant City at the lowest prices we are ever going to offer. PLUS we will be giving away lots of great bonus items.
STAY TUNED - You will be the first to know the official date we go on sale! |

What is Dehydration?
When your body reaches a state whereby it cannot adequately cool itself through perspiration; or in other words, your body cannot properly regulate its own temperature, you are dehydrating. You are losing vital fluids for any number of reasons, like exercise for one, and overexertion, sickness and disease, just to name a few. The average person can lose anywhere from a pint to a quart of fluid through evaporation and sweat in an 8 hour period just sleeping. Once you begin to dehydrate, it can get pretty ugly. Severe dehydration can lead to heat exhaustion, heat stroke and death. Your body is a temple - think of your immune system as a wall that surrounds and protects that temple. When that wall is compromised by a lack of water, the wall (your immune system) begins to plummet, leaving you unprotected, with openings for a host of unwelcome guests, like parasites, bacterial infections, inflammation, confusion, severe headaches, and nausea. To help protect yourself all you had to do was stay hydrated. Some studies have shown that as little as a 2% drop in fluid can decrease your memory function, but don't try and use that statistic as an excuse for flunking an exam; apparently it does not work. The second you feel thirsty, you are dehydrating. So, how much water should I drink? With all the opposing expert opinions, it's hard to know. I have found that a good rule of thumb is to drink half your weight in ounces for both adult male and females. That means, if you weigh about 100 pounds, (does anyone weigh that anymore?) You want to drink about 50 ounces throughout a normal average day. Of course, that is a loose guideline. Anything outside of that, you will need more water. Adjust to fit your needs. Listen to and honor your body. It will reward you back. Notice I am not including other fluids right now. That is because I want to save discussing that subject at another time. First, we get you drinking more water. Don't like the taste? Add a slice of orange or lemon to a bottle first thing. You'll find it refreshing. But drink!
I cannot emphasize enough the importance of water in your body; so much so that over the next year, we will re-visit this subject in greater detail and on many levels. My friends, you can go a few weeks without food. You can go a lifetime without spiritual nourishment (though I wouldn't suggest it), but you will perish in 3 to 7 days without water. Water sustains all life on this planet, but most importantly your life.

Something New Do you love a group exercise class with your friends but your schedule doesn't match the class schedule? Well at Anytime Fitness Plant City that will no longer be a problem (or an excuse.) We will be introducing an exciting new system called Fitness On Request (FOR).
With FOR you are in control. You can schedule your class, either on the web with member access, or in person at the club. When you enter our special Group-Ex room a huge screen will drop down and your class will begin. Dance Aerobics, Yoga, Kick Boxing and more. From Basic to Advanced, even seniors classes., you will have many options.
And if our trainers want to offer any special live classes, we will be able to produce those, as well as special events we are planning now.
So if you want Kick Boxing at 11:00 PM or Yoga at 10:37 AM, no problem; bring a group, join one in session, or come by yourself and enjoy the class ANYTIME. |
