Dear Animal Compassion Networkers,
It's that time of year! Please join us this weekend for the area's largest adoption event: the 12th Annual Prestige Subaru Adoptathon! This is our biggest event ever, with over 14 rescue groups from across North Carolina and Virgina attending (please see the complete list below).
The Prestige Subaru Pet Adoptathon is this Saturday and Sunday, May 21 and 22 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year's event will once again take place in the Province 620 Restaurant parking lot across from Pet Harmony, as well as inside Pet Harmony, ACN's adoption center and retail store for second-chance pets.

Can't wait for the weekend? Check out these rescue groups on the internet to get an idea of who you might meet! Asheville Humane Society, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, Blue Ridge Humane Society, Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation, Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue, Shar-Pei Rescue of Virginia, Avery Humane Society, Rutherdford Humane Society, WNC Boxer Rescue, FootHills Golden Retriever Rescue, Community Pet Center, ChainFree Asheville, and Madison Animal Services.
Looking for a bit of a larger companion? We are excited to have Rusty, a mustang, coming from STAR Ranch in Haywood County. Come say hi and see if this big guy could be your new best friend!
It is going to be a big weekend, with a low-cost shot clinic with Dr. Margaret Moncure from Appalachian Animal Hospital in Weaverville, Animal Services of Asheville Police Department and a dunk bucket game where you can take aim at Tony Pelle of Prestige Subaru and Rigor Morticia from the Blue Ridge Rollergirls!

Steve Bryson and Joe Tate show off the newest and coolest Subaru models from Prestige Subaru, our generous event sponsor. You've got to see these for yourself!
There will be other fun activities for you, your kids, and your dog - a Ken and Tammy Show live radio remote, homemade doggie (and people) ice cream from The Hop, a representative from Susie's Law and Chamberlin's Law, a "Kid's Corner" including a bounce house and the dunk tank, a tour of the newest Subaru models, family portraits by big brown dog photography and Noah's Ark, an "Ask the Trainer" booth by Pet Behavior Aid, a low-cost shot clinic, paw print painting, free "paw"dicures by Doggie Style Mobile Grooming, a do-it-yourself doggie wash, a meet and greet with mascot Scooby Neuter, pizza from Frank's Roman Pizza, and more.
Click here to print out a poster to hang out at your workplace, gym, and favorite local businesses -- please help us spread the word. Bring a handful to church on Sunday and send your fellowship this way!
So put on your sunscreen and come out to Pet Harmony this weekend!
See you there!
