It's hard to know where to begin with so much going on!
First, I am thrilled to invite you all to the Hilton Wine Dinner
at Roux Restaurant in Biltmore Park on Tuesday, October 5 from 6:30 to 9 pm. We'll
start with a champagne reception with butler-passed hor d'oeuvres in
the Mitchell Room, followed by a gourmet five-course dinner in Roux, Hilton's signature restaurant. Each of Chef Randy Dunn's stunning vegetarian
creations will be accompanied by a wine pairing from Biltmore Wines.
Even if you are not a vegetarian, this will be one of the best meals of
your life. Chef Dunn is known for using local ingredients with an
innovative flair in his grandmother's recipes. Please see the menu below.
 As if that is not enough, we will actually have Sharon Fenchak,
Biltmore Winemaker, presenting each wine pairing to us! Do not
miss this one-of-a-kind opportunity to meet the talent behind the
delicious wines so generously donated by Biltmore Wines. I had the
pleasure of tasting the wines as they were being selected for this
event (someone's got to do it...) and I was absolutely blown away. I
assure you, you will be impressed. (I also discovered that Biltmore
Estate is the most-visited winery in the country.)

As you know, Hilton Asheville Biltmore Park is a major ACN
supporter. We were the beneficiary of the Stay, Hilton, Stay!
Program (donating $5 to ACN for every pet brought along for a hotel
stay) this past season. Stan Turner, General Manager, also personally fostered Hilton, the
program mascot, and his sidekick Heidi until they could be adopted out
together, which they were two weeks ago!
 Hilton & Heidi with their new mom Leslie Hansen! We are also grateful to Biltmore Wines for their support of
ACN over the last seven years. They truly embody the spirit of rescue.
Proceeds from this wine dinner will benefit our Foster Program,
allowing us to transfer even more shelter dogs and cats into ACN foster homes.

from AHS recently. (In fact 8 of them were transferred in at the AHS Adoption and
Education Center Grand Opening!)

PS: Mark your calendars for next Friday, October 8, for Rescues & Runways. Check out the season's new styles from
maurices as they parade down the runway with our adorable foster cats
and dogs in tow. The event will be held at Pet Harmony from 7:30
to 9:30. Along with the trendiest animals in town, there will be vegetarian hors d'oeuvres, a fashion show, music from DJ Salinger and silent auction items!
