Now that Mayor Pedro Segarra has secured a full term, no more important challenge exists for him than creating and motivating a proactive Board of Education that jettisons politics and pushes for the next wave of reform. A strong and effective Board needs to be focused on creating policy that supports the District's strategy for reform on the ground.

This year's session will begin February 8th. CT alternates between a short session from early February to early May in the even-numbered years, and a long session from early
January to early June in the odd-numbered years. In a short session, individual
