how to choose the best produce

Greetings!
We're back!  Our apologies for the summer hiatus.

Using fresh, in-season produce keeps cooking exciting - there's always something new, colorful, and flavorful to put on your plate.  It also makes cooking simple.  With just a bit of prep (a rinse, a chop, a drizzle of oil here, some sea salt there), you can have a delicious, stress-free meal.  The veggies (and fruits) really do the work for you.

But this means you need to know how to choose the best produce - what's ripe, what's fresh, what to avoid.  To help you out, we've created a produce selection chart with tips on what your produce should look, smell, and feel like, plus loads of other pointers.  You'll be bringing home the good stuff in no time!

We've included some of the most commonly available summer produce items, but this is a growing list, which we will update often.  Please let us know if you have suggestions!

Cheers!
