O'Kane Gallery opens Jose Perez exhibit
O'Kane Gallery curator Mark Cervenka, left, hosted artist Jose Perez and Perez's wife, Mary, during a reception for an exhibit of Perez's drawings from the series, The Man From Xixes, and some of his paintings. The exhibit runs through Dec. 16. Perez first conceived of the series more than 30 years ago and he has worked on it since then. The Man From Xixes, an allegory of human folly as seen through the animal kingdom, speaks fully to the themes Perez has embraced throughout his professional career in drawing and painting.
