Information Technology will perform important
security updates on several computing servers on between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. Friday, Sept. 24. During this time, the
following services will be unavailable intermittently:
- Exchange e-mail (Outlook client,
Outlook Web Access & Outlook Mobile Access)
- Xpressions voice mail system (access to
messages via phone or e-mail)
- Access to UHD network remotely via
- Access to files residing on network
share drives H and S
- Faculty & Staff e-services
(payments, personal data & class roster)
- Student e-services (payments,
schedules, personal data & grades)
- Access to Student Account Info via
e-services (usernames and passwords for GatorMail, Network ID &
- Fortis document management system
- PowerFAIDS financial aid system
- Print control system for students
- AdAstra (classroom scheduling system)
- Video On-Demand and Live Video

Professor hosts KPFT's 'Story Time' tomorrow morning during Open Journal
UHD Professor Hank Roubicek will bring stories
about "Defining Moments" to Houston airwaves this Friday as he hosts "Story
Time" during Open Journal on radio station KPFT, 90.1 on the FM dial.
The show begins at 9:30 a.m., and listeners can
also tune in online at www.kpft.org.
Roubicek, professor of communication studies, is an
accomplished storyteller and host. He introduces listeners to some of the
city's best storytellers who fire the imagination with tales about summer
memories, holidays and other topics.
Friday's show features two members of the Houston
Storytellers Guild, Sheila Starks Phillips and Tom Workman, professor of Allied
Health Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine.
