Mastercam X6 MU1 is Released! | |
Mastercam X6 MU1 is now available for download. MU1 includes over 50 fixes and updates, and is available immediately to all Mastercam Maintenance customers. Click here to see the complete list of bug fixes that MU1 addresses.
These enhancements and updates have been tested and released by the Quality Control Department and will function inside Mastercam X6.
X6 has both a 32bit and a 64bit version so please read the notes below:
- The X6 32bit version can only be installed on a 32bit OS and the X6 64bit version can only be installed on a 64bit OS.
- X6 64-bit version will NOT allow saving to a previous X version.
- X6 32-bit can save files to previous version just as past versions allowed (geometry only).
- Files created in previous Mastercam versions can be read into both X6 32 and X6 64 bit versions.
- The X6 64-bit version is installed into the C:\Program Files. X5 was installed into the C:\Program Files (x86) folder on 64bit OS systems because it was a 32bit application.
- There is only one set of sample files and power libraries and they will work with both x64 and x86.
- Art is only available for 32-bit operating systems. The 64-bit version is currently in development.

Mastercam Night Classes Will Be Back in September! | |
Throughout May, OptiPro held a 4-week Mastercam Night Course on different aspects of Mastercam Design, Mill Level 1, Mill Level 2, and Mill Level 3. The class began with the basic concepts of Mastercam and progressed into geometry definition, 2D toolpath, 3D contouring and surface machining.
Due to the recent success of this program, OptiPro plans to hold another Mastercam Night Course in September with the same curriculum.
