Take
these six steps with Google Analytics to get more out of your marketing
dollars
Last month, a
client of mine sent over 50,000 flyers to his target market. Consistent
proponents for web analytics, my team suggested to our client that we
track the campaign through Google's free web Analytics service. The results
were shocking:
Of
the 50,000 flyers sent to a highly targeted audience base, he only
received eight inquiries.Meanwhile,
the organic traffic to the client's website from search engines
resulted in over 100 sales. Even random Craigslist posts (which we also
tracked) had given him better results than his flyer campaign
This
is the kind of analysis my team and I run for our clients on a daily
basis. Now, with the step-by-step guide below, you can start doing it
yourself: Read the six steps.. Martin Wong is a partner and chief marketing officer at
SmarttNet. |
