Hey Steve -
Thanks for the updates on possible trips. Don't know what our schedule will be like, but love the idea of connecting up with someone we trust !!!
We're headed to Argentina this fall, I haven't checked out the possibilities of diving while there yet, but know we'll try to do some in March in Aruba.
We hit St. John this January for a week and renewed an old dive buddy with us.
Thanks again for doing my certification last April as my "mature" college grad present! You rock!

My 2 kids got certified with you about a year and a half ago ... meanwhile we've dove in the Cancun area.
My wife may be interested in some of your trips, namely the Barrier Reef and Palau... what dates are they occurring?

As you know ... we have a FANTASTC TRIP scheduled for May of 2010.
I have been working on a couple of ideas to help you join in on the fun ... here's what I have come up with so far.
Some of you on Scuba Steve's list are NOT certified yet ... and some of you are. I think that I have something for each of you !!!
- If you are NOT yet certified, Scuba Steve will provide you with your PADI Open Water Certification !!!
The details are simple. Come to Kauai in time to do the entire course or ...
- do the Academics and Confined Water portions BEFORE we meet in Fiji, and I will complete your 4 Open Water Dives while we are on vacation !!!
For those of my Dive Buddies who are already certified, I have something for you as well!!!
- I will certifiy you in PADI Enriched Air / Nitrox either BEFORE or DURING the trip!!! You will be able to use your newly acquired certification while in Fiji !!!
All you need to do is email me back and let me know that you are interested in the trip.
I will then put you in contact with Marjanna for all of the details of the Fiji Trip.

This is "Da Kine" Vacation of "Da Decade" !!!
Dear Scuba Steve ...
This is a really GREAT package !!! Funny thing is that the owners of both the properties I have used for your itinerary replied back that they had just been discussing this very idea between the two of them and are interested in marketing such a package !!!
I didn't know this when I emailed them your itenerary ... but it turns out to be the very request that they had been thinking about doing !!!
What a UNIQUE travel package! Not only is it my opinion of a fantastic combination package but from those that live there and know the destination ... it is THEIR opinion as well !!!
The other consensus was that either May or Oct would be good dates to aim for. June through August is not the best time for the Manta Rays (though they are resident) and the water is colder then as well.
April, September, October or November would also be good times, but avoid the June through August and the December through April dates.

Here's the Real Deal ...
DAY 1 and/or DAY 2 ...
Depart Mainland US from ...
- LAX PM (Day 1) or
- AM (Day 2) from HNL for Nadi, Fiji
DAY 3 ...
(Remember ... we "lose" a day because of the International Date Line ... NOT because of long travel times !!!)
Arrive Nadi, Fiji !!!
- After clearing customs and immigration our group will be met in the arrivals area and transferred by road along the scenic southern coast on the main island (Viti Levu) from Nadi to Waidroka Bay.
- The journey will take about 3 hours, but we'll be pool / beachside relaxing with a cool drink in the afternoon.
- Remainder of day free.
- Option for night dive (not included in pricing).
DAY 3 through DAY 8 ...
- Accommodation - deluxe oceanfront bure, double occupancy
- ALL meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner, INCLUDING BBQ one evening;
- Diving for divers includes 2 Days of 2 tank reef diving and 1 day of 2-tank SHARK DIVES (3 days total)
- Non-divers can enjoy snorkeling, surfing, village and white sand visit...
- One of the dive days is at Frigate's Beqa Outer Walls and also when the non-divers can surf - Frigate's passage and is a world renowned wave ...
- Jewel of Fiji tour one day to include river canoeing or bamboo rafting with visit to waterfall and cultural village visit
NOTE - for more "hardcore" adventurers we can upgrade to the upper river kayak trip, or for those less adventurous we can offer an Arts Village Cultural Show and shopping trip in Pacific Harbour.
- As well, for you avid golfers, you can upgrade to 18-holes on the Robert Trenton Jones designed course in Pacific Harbour or ...
- An additional dive day, etc.

- Transfers to / from Nadi airport

- Transfer to airport for midday flight to Kadavu Island ...
- Breakfast included today before morning transfer to the Suva Airport for our flight to Kadavu Island.
- Upon arrival to Fiji's 4th largest island and one of great beauty, we will be met on arrival and transferred to Matava Resort.
- There are essentially no roads on Kadavu and the
transfer is by boat.
We will be staying at the award winning Matava Resort for 5 nights !!!
Included in our stay at Matava is:
- Accommodation in oceanview traditional bure, based double occupancy
- ALL meals - breakfast, lunch, dinner with unlimited tea / coffee, including traditional lovo feast and kava ceremony one night

DAY 13 ...
Returning home ...
- Enjoy our morning at Matava, including breakfast before a return transfer by boat to the Kadavu airport and your midday flight back to
the main island and Nadi.
- Connect homeward bound - LAX / HNL
- Regaining lost time crossing the International Date Line, you will arrive back to the US the same day.
