It's Fleet Week in Portland and Ranger is Missing!
The USS Ranger-
a Part of Portland's Landscape-
It Can Happen!
At SeaThe arrival of the fleet has been an important part of the culture of Portland since the USS Charleston arrived for Rose Festival in 1907. US Navy ships have visited during Rose Festival for the last 80 years, and the lines are always long to get a chance to tour. Kids and adults alike are fascinated by the massive gray monuments symbolizing peace.

Now, Imagine the USS Ranger available year-round.

The lines will be less, the tours longer and the education amazing. One of the largest carriers in the fleet-Ranger will have room for educational displays, space for over-night adventures for teen organizations, space for weddings, memorials, and business meetings, a restaurant, gift shop and more. The flight deck alone is 4.5 acres!

This Super Carrier is awaiting a home in Portland-help bring her to her final resting place. Instead of waiting in line to get a glimpse, you will have the chance to become a member and visit anytime you want.

Now is the time to support the effort to find suitable moorage where Ranger can become a part of the unique culture of Oregon.

Considering the large number of ships the United States Navy has put to sea, there are only a few of them that have been converted into museum ships. It is important that each of us do whatever we can to keep our naval heritage alive.

Our mission is to preserve the Aircraft Carrier USS Ranger as an educational, civic and cultural center in Portland Oregon where she will become the world's largest floating museum; a must-see tourism destination in the Pacific Northwest. Still serving her country as an emergency communications and disaster response center, she will honor those men and women who have served the cause of freedom in the USA and around the world.

The excitement of Fleet Week year-round!
