TIP OF THE MONTH
We are fast approaching the time of the year when many organizations are doing their seasonal changeovers. These projects are done every year and require a large amount of planning to complete all the annual shutdown/changeover PMs of equipment.
While your maintenance teams may be very good at planning the work to be done, few departments do a really good postmortem to improve for the next year.
A comprehensive review of what was done along with any start-up issues is essential for any organization utilizing continuous improvement strategies.
Remember, the planning for next year's shutdown begins at the end of this year's shutdown!
