I had a big interval in my painting.
Looking around me at masters like
Leonardo, Rembrandt, Fra Angelico and others
I felt I had nothing to say,
and even the ideas that I did have and painted, seemed to look worthless.
I stopped painting and felt confused, hesitant, annoyed, jealous, sad and disappointed.
My needs for meaning, depth, creativity, contribution and self expression were at the other side of the river.
I had the huge art book of Leonardo Da Vinci at home, and found myself looking enviously at his paintings, asking how can he help me.
days past by and one day the answer came.
It was his painting "John the Baptist" that was on the screen of my mind.
"look up, every thing is from above, keep on painting Your paintings"
"Once you have flown, you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward; for there you have been, there you long to return." Leonardo Da Vinci With love
