Dear ARIN Affiliates and Advocates,
Easter will be here soon. A day I treasure for what it represents to our "eternal" life! The meaning of Easter is Jesus Christ's victory over death. His resurrection symbolizes the eternal life that is granted to all who believe in Him. The meaning of Easter also symbolizes the complete verification of all that Jesus preached and taught during His three-year ministry. If He had not risen from the dead, if He had merely died and not been resurrected, He would have been considered just another teacher or Rabbi. However, His resurrection changed all that and gave final and irrefutable proof that He was really the Son of God and that He had conquered death once and for all. How do we even try and get our arms and heads around this Gift? Let alone try and stuff it into a plastic egg! Easter's not about bunnies, duckies or shredded grass. It's about the King who created them ... and the life and hope He gives to each of us! One of the reasons we picked April for Abortion Recovery Awareness Month, was because we wanted to send a message of "new life" and "hope", like Christ does! As you prepare this upcoming week for your Easter feast... please consider how you might share "new life" and "hope" with others. For those of you who wish to jump in with both feet, there are over 30 ideas on our Abortion Recovery Awareness Month website! In case you're not up to jumping, here's a simple 3! Remember to pray for those men and women who may be missing an unborn child at their Easter table. Their hearts may be breaking as you color eggs, bite the ears off chocolate bunnies and giggle with your living children. Some of these families may only have babies in Heaven. Be gentle as you speak to others in church... as we are often unaware of people's previous choices. Pray for the families that just are not quite ready to ask for help, even though they may be hurting emotionally from a prior abortion! We want to encourage those who need our assistance to feel free to ask. For some, it is often the most difficult request they'll ever speak. And please, please pray for the individuals who have been called to Abortion Recovery ministry. They are continually under fire and so need your hedge of prayer protection. Our ARIN Affiliates remain honored and blessed to serve in this unique Kingdom Assignment. We encourage you to add them to your daily prayers lists, both personally and as a church body. |
