Restoring the years vision for souls
Pasteur Gerald had come to Port au Prince from his home in Les Cayes on a word from the Lord. Andy, Yvonne and I laid hands on Gerald commissioning him to begin a church similar to our Center of Faith, a self supporting church with a vision for souls. The church took up an offering for him and sent him out. We didn't hear from Pasteur Gerald again until last week! |

God gives the increase a church for 7000
An American visitor insisted I go and meet this Haitian pastor who has such an impact on Port au Prince that there is a street named for him. When I went to meet the man it was Pasteur Gerald! He recognized me and began to tell his son, "This man had a church where you could feel the presence of God. And you knew when you went there God would speak to you!" He reminded me of the incident that took place 26 years ago, then told me to turn and see the fruit of our prayer and giving. There is a church to seat 7,000 and though it is not yet finished there are meetings in the structure several times a week. Pasteur Gerald's church was undamaged by the quake. I will be preaching there next week! |

Planting and watering dicipleship training
Since the destructive 7.0 temblor on January 12 I have personally witnessed over 10,000 decisions for Christ. Salvations continue daily and my concern is sound biblical instruction for the converts. Two long time missionaries to Haiti, Andy Clark and Scott Nelson have prepared bible instruction materials in Creole and French. Visiting church groups are eager to help and I am coordinating teaching materials, volunteers and tent cities. Please give with us for housing, transportation, equipment and volunteers to ground these new Haitian converts in the word of God. |
