Dear friend,

On February 12 at exactly 4:53 PM when the 7.0 magnitude quake struck Haiti one month ago, hundreds of thousands of Haitians lifted their voices and hands in worship of Almighty God.  All over Haiti church services spilled out into city streets and hymns were heard throughout the country.  The largest worship gathering was in front of the National Palace once a beautiful copy of the Versailles in France, now a broken shell.   AP captured the joyful outpouring on camera and you can view their footage by clicking on the link one month after quake Haitians worship.
Television and RadioJoel prepares tv and radio address
On Thursday before the one month anniversary of the killer quake in Haiti I was impressed of the Lord to "do the work of an evangelist."  I immediately cleared my schedule and spent the day producing a special half hour television and radio address to be aired on every functioning television and radio station in Port au Prince. At 8:00PM on Thursday night I got on my motorcylce and spent the next four hours personallly delivering the recorded address to the stations. On Friday morning I was awakened to the sound of my own media address as station managers told listeners to turn up their radios and tvs and point them out towards other Haitians so Haiti could hear Frere Joel speak to the nation!
Mardi Gras Canceledman worshipping
Instead of drunken debauchery throughout Haiti yesterday Haitians were again in church worshipping all day long! There were no rah rahs, dancing parades, in the streets of Port au Prince.  Though the NYTimes called it a "joyless" Mardi Gras we offer the AP footage in front of the National Palace as indisputable proof that Haitians are full of the "joy of the Lord that is their strength!"  Glory to the King of kings, Jesus Christ!

Addressing Haiti
tv set w Joel
Last Thursday when I prepared the television and radio programs calling Haitians to repent and seek  God's mercy  the response was overwhelming.  Radio Tele Ginen, a voodoo station, insisted that I return to do a live tv and radio show. Last night, which should have been Mardi Gras I spoke for one hour about the redeeming grace of Jesus Christ for a nation that seeks His forgiveness.  This radio and television address aired simultaneously throughout Haiti!
