Special Olympics Idaho has once again been invited to be part of the point-of-service fundraising promotion with Safeway stores across north Idaho!
 
Visit your neighborhood Safeway store from now until Sunday, May 3, 2009 and make a donation at the checkout. Last year, Safeway invited Special Olympics to run this promotion with Easter Seals and we raised $8.1 million nationwide-an increase of $3.5 million from 2007. With your support, we believe that the Special Olympics partnership will continue to impact the success of Safeway's promotion.
 
 Money raised will help Special Olympics Idaho:
-        Maintain our high-quality State Games in which more than 2,500 athletes bring their toughest competition
-        Provide more sports training and competition, healthy athletes screenings, and outreach programs like the school-based Partners Clubs or Unified Sports
-        Reach out to the additional 33,000 intellectually disabled adults and children across Idaho, and bring them into the Special Olympics experience
