Experience Your Soul in the Beauty of Sedona

Connect
with your spirit, supported by the beautiful red rocks of Sedona, through:
- Music
- Meditation
- Mandalas
- Movement
- Mindfulness
An
environment that inspires and allows for mindful awakening in which you can
simply BE.
The
harmonizing energy vortices of Sedona have called to people from all over the
world, from ancient times through present day.
"These vortices are renowned for their balancing energy," explains Anya Sophia Mann of Conscious Journey, "they invite us to connect in this sacred
space for a powerful and transformative retreat."
This
April, Anya will guide you on a journey of transformation and healing. "This will be the 4th piece of work I've lead
in Sedona. Over the past 20 years, I
have facilitated workshops and retreats internationally, and for me, Sedona
resonates deeply with my soul. One
participant described the experience: 'I thought my heart was open until today.
The energy in the room was tangible and it brought us to a healing place.' His
words honor the results of the work when people come together in a healing
environment and then bring it out into their world by connecting in deeper,
more meaningful, ways," says Anya.

Greetings!
Facial cream, hair dye, Botox injections, plastic surgery: modern day substitutions for the Fountain of Youth?
The other day in the shower (where all of my best ideas drop in), I had a flash about the real secret of youth. It's not something you can pour out of a bottle or have injected into your cheeks. I believe the true gift comes from retrieving and loving younger parts of yourself - the "little ones" within you.
If you've participated in an Emotional Re-Education weekend or What's Next?! Workshop, you've witnessed this phenomenon. After honoring some younger self within, the face simply glows. People literally look years younger, and I believe it's because they integrated a "younger self" in a meaningful and loving way, reviving personal vitality in the process.
All of us start as tiny, vulnerable beings completely dependent on the adults around us. Without their care, we would not survive. Yet, many of us witnessed our parents fighting, and felt terrified. Or maybe everyone was too busy to pay attention, and the loneliness became a companion more familiar than any person. Whatever the circumstances of your formative years, most of us have some hurt and scared parts that we don't acknowledge, let alone attend to.
I remember believing that I could make my mom happy. I thought, in my two-year-old body, I had power over her feelings. If you hear a voice inside saying, "well, you probably DID make her happy," note the flaw. If I could make her happy, then logically, I must also be responsible when her anger, fear, frustration, and sadness surfaced. How can any two year old (or 4, 9, 13, etc.) be responsible for another person's feelings?
For 30+ years I walked the earth thinking I could make someone feel. When the responsibility felt like a burden, my own anger rushed to the surface to push away the fear of the power I thought I wielded. Then, with awesome therapeutic support, I realized, I was operating from my two year old beliefs! I'd simply never updated my belief system. Hmph!
And that adorable little two year old within, well, she's not running the show anymore. I just love her and imagine myself giving her a big hug whenever that old belief bubbles up. I can have compassion for her and know that what she believed then doesn't fit for me now. By honoring the experience and retrieving that part of myself - I tap into my very own fountain of youth. Every time I retrieve a younger part of myself, it's like taking another sip from the fountain - leaving me more whole and glowing than before.
I figure, since another year has gone by, you might want to know - the true fountain of youth is within you. It's personal to you, just as mine is to me. If you'd like support finding yours, ask a member of The Consciousness Collaborative.
Cheers from my fountain to yours - Happy New Year!

 Immunity Boost
As I look
around at the faces relieved of holiday stress, I find that nearly everyone suffers
from a sniffle or a cough. When the work
place, school, or your home world is swirling with potential yuckies, it is
time to boost your immune system to ensure your body stays protected. If you've already caught a bit of a bug, many
of the protocols below will support you to a speedy recovery. A few weeks ago I felt something in my throat
and began following my own advice. In
two days I felt much better! Foods have
an amazing potential to heal us.
Simple: Let your body use it's energy in healing, not
digestion. Get back to basics,
avoid sugar, coffee, and processed food. Add in cooked veggies, soups, garlic, onions,
and whole grains.
Hydrate: Liquids help the body cleanse so stay hydrated
with herbal teas, (nettle boosts immunity) clean water, and coconut water.
Super Tea: Drink a tea made from ginger (for throat),
turmeric (to liquefy mucus), lemon (to alkalize), cayenne pepper (to burn
infection and lower high fever), and raw honey (to support coughs and boost the
immune system) - click for recipe.
Elderberry: Conventional cough syrups are loaded with sweeteners, and foreign ingredients. Use elderberry syrups which inhibit the flu
virus from spreading to host cells and aid in respiratory distress.
Vitamin C: Why use powders when you can get Vitamin C
from the real thing??? Add a red bell
pepper, parsley, papaya, lemon or broccoli to your meals and you will get more
available C then any processed powder or pill. This year's tangerines are amazing! Vitamin C helps increase white blood cell
production.
Zinc:
Zinc is another mineral that is vital in immune system defense. Many
animal products contain zinc in abundance, but you can also get it from steamed
spinach and pumpkin seeds.
Cough Support: If you struggle with dry coughs soak almonds
overnight, remove their skin and snack.
Sleep: Sleep is vital when the body is trying to
heal. Give yourself a rest and end your day early.
Invert: Put your legs up the wall to activate your
lymphatic system and help the body cleanse. Mild inversions also help the nervous system
relax.

  I answered!
Memories
sweep through as I write this. The idea
for Life Coaching Magazine downloaded into my brain, sat in my heart, and tickled my soul in an
instant. Zap! A bolt of white lightening illuminated images
and feelings, and ignited a passion to produce a worldwide magazine whose
powerful pictures tell the human story: of inspiration, imagination, education,
and enlightenment. I was at dinner with
friends celebrating Holly Lukeys' decision to purchase Four Corners magazine, when this vision found me, but the foundational spark came years
before.
As
a child, I would sit for hours reading glossy magazines with lots of pictures,
including the hundreds of National Geographic magazines that my uncle saved. I fantasized about one day creating something
as beautiful. It was a life dream, manifested as a vision, that
seared in my mind altering my life path, inspiring me to feel more aligned and
attuned with my destiny path than ever before.
The mission: publishing a dynamic, multi-dimensional, multi-media online
magazine that (one magnificent day) will also be in print.
Life Coaching Magazine is all about people supporting
people in human interest matters. It is
a medium for many cross-cultural coaching skills to be easily shared, for the
benefit of people all over the world. I
believe people do better when they know better.
This online magazine supports this knowing.
The
best way I can describe the feeling I get when I think about the vision of the
magazine is "Life Living." It's alive. Like life, it is a work in progress. It
can be two weeks, two months, or two minutes between entries on the site! Articles like, "Can I Talk To You?" address
the questions of children and adolescents, while "Top Ten Video Picks" (carefully
selected from the millions on YouTube) or Dawn Lipinski's contribution
"Holistic Body Peace," raise our consciousness in ways we otherwise may never
have experienced.
A
perfect example is the cover feature article from the first issue "Sherpa as
Life Coach." A fascinating, humbling,
true story about Susan Harper Todd (the first
British woman to lead an Everest expedition and the fifth to reach the summit
herself) featuring awesome pictures from the highest place on earth that a
human being can stand with their head in the clouds, and their feet on the
earth.
As
the magazine evolves, I find exciting opportunities opening before me. For example, Sue Todd and I have formed a
partnership for her next expedition to the Everest base camp. She will lead trekkers in mountaineering and
at agreed times I will coach them in mindfulness, and moving through their inner
fear, via satellite phone!
This
is my dream, coming true. How am I
making this happen? By making it happen
day by day. Step by step. Moment by moment. With lots of people contributing generously along
the way.
I
invite you to share my inspired passion, and the knowing and inspiration that
Life Coaching Magazine may offer to you. Join me in
living my destiny by signing up and sharing this free-to-the-world
magazine where we may experience part of our journey together. Visit often - you just never know what
lightening bolt might be waiting to strike and ignite your own destiny!

Meditation of the Month
Yes To Life!
It's a new year, try something different for the next month. Anytime someone asks you a question for which a yes or no is appropriate, say "Yes!"
Too often, our first response to any question is "No." We may later change our tune, but the knee jerk reaction is negative rather than positive. For the new year, infuse your powerful positive energy into your days by changing your answer to a resounding "YES!"
You can always say "no" later, if it truly doesn't fit for you. This is not about being a doormat and giving yourself away. It's about allowing the power of your own affirmative energy to direct your life, rather than fear or negativity - moment by moment...yes, Yes! YES!!!
As you try on your "Yes," notice how it feels. Be aware of what stirs in you as you allow for a new possibility to emerge.
Would you like to give it a try? (this is a trick question)
