Dear Stylists-

 

Upon returning from Leader Convention a little over a week ago, I must say that I am blown away by JK's committment to the sales field. With new programs for Leadership, a NEW website coming soon, and a National Sales Director that is "out of this world!!", I predict JK to be the fastest growing company in direct sales!!!!

As I reflect on last year, I must admit that I am completely humbled by your dedication to your businesses and awed by 2011 sales. Total team sales for 2011: $4,800,000, and I know we are going to blow that number away in 2012!!!! WHOOO HOOO!!!!

In addition to an incredible year, we had Stylists from around the country pushing forward in pursuit of JK's first ever Incentive...a Once in a Lifetime trip to Cancun! Congratulations to the women who earned the trip! You are going to have an AMAZING time!!!

I'd like to recognize 3 women I worked with personally. Each one of them had their doubts and yet they focused on activity and kept moving toward the goal...no matter how far off it seemed. 
 
My belief in them and the belief that they had from their family, their teammates, and Ginny Lyke, rubbed off. In the end, as January 31st approached, they all believed they could make it to Cancun. Watching, and being a part of that transformation was more rewarding than I could have ever imagined!
 
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Lisa Connors - Drove to a half dozen JK parties during Alaskan blizzards (with white knuckles she made it to those events) - needed 7k in sales, plus 5 qualified Stylists to hit Cancun - put in orders until the last day of the month and made the Incentive on the 31st of January!!

Julie Perry - Needed LOTS of sales volume (over 9k to be exact, plus 2 qualified Stylists) - worked tirelessly in the month of January - on the 31st worked frantically to figure out how much in sales she still needed to get there - with orders coming in throughout the day, and a lot of help from Dana tallying her sales, she hit that magical number on the 31st!!

Kim Pinter - Did not have 1 party on the books in January and needed $4,300 in personal sales plus 1 qualified NEW stylist - got on the phone with EVERYONE!!! - hit just over $30k at 11:30pm...January 31st.

NEVER GIVE UP! BELIEVE AND YOU WILL ACHIEVE!

With the Caribbean Cruise Incentive beginning this month, make the most of double points! 

If you should fall short, don't sweat it...and don't give up...NO MATTER WHAT!!!

If you don't believe you can earn this, partner up with someone who believes you can! Sometimes it is other's belief in you that can make the difference.

Top in Sales - January
Julie Perry

 

My journey started with attending a dear friend's house party where I caught my first glimpse of Jewel Kade. Needless to say, I was on my way-didn't know it then and would have never believed I would be sitting here today qualified for the incentive trip but also Top in Sales for the month of January.

I didn't waste any time having my own JK party, then joining (just to get the wonderful discount), next I found myself attending the National Convention, where I met with other stylists that had "Discovered the Charm" and within those three days soon became dear friends- it is possibly one of the most rewarding and life changing moments in my life. 

 

I saw the dreams and wishes and ultimate successes of all those that attended and realized the attainability of my own individual goals that were within me to succeed! I just had to write them down! 

 

As I returned home, I was filled with great pride for what Janet had accomplished and for allowing me and others to experience and accomplish in our own goals. The journey has been challenging, and at times had seemed unattainable but with the constant encouragement and kind words from Sophia (our fearless leader) and Lisa (my direct leader), my dear friends and all of my new friends, succeeding seemed easier than quitting.

As a wife and mother of three children and a career as a flight attendant, JK provides me with an opportunity to balance the demands of family and work while allowing me to make and succeed with my own personal goals.

It has been easy to be swept up in the successes of Janet's vision. Her jewelry speaks so many different languages; it embraces everyone's thoughts, wishes and dreams. 

 

I love telling the story of Jewel Kade and seeing the individual reactions and hearing their stories about "why they love this piece".

 

JK has offered me and others "the reason" to get together with friends and experience the charming magic of the evening!

Top in Sponsoring - January

Wow! I am honored and thrilled to hear from Sophia that I was top in sponsoring for January. That was a very big month for me and I worked really hard, not only doing parties but also training new team members, working with my current team, and earning the Cancun incentive trip.

  

Sponsoring is such a pleasure for me. I LOVE the amazing women who have decided to come alongside me and join this incredible Jewel Kade team we have. I think it is so cool when someone sees JK for the first time and they fall in love with it, as I did back in July 2010 when my friend & JK Stylist Jamie Fox was bedecked in her gorgeous and unique jewelry. What is equally exciting is when those same women recognize the phenomenal opportunity that we all have with Jewel Kade and they decide to become stylists. Even more thrilling is when some of those women decide to make things happen with their JK businesses, and in effect, change their lives. The potential is truly UNLIMITED and whatever you dream, you CAN achieve, if you WORK!

 

Sophia and I talk frequently and she is an inspirational and talented leader. She has modeled excellent leadership and no doubt, she is a can-do woman with integrity and an admirable work ethic. When she told me that I was so close to achieving the Cancun trip in December, I decided to make a huge push and just make it happen. We have had the coldest and snowiest winter on record (since records have been kept in Alaska) in Anchorage, and I cannot think of anything better than sitting on a beach, basking in the sun and enjoying a frosty beverage. That, and the realization that I was closer than I thought to earning the trip, AND that my team member and dear friend, Julie Perry was very close to getting the trip too, really motivated me to go for it in a big way. I had several parties already booked for January, but I decided to reconnect with past hostesses, as well as other women who had indicated interest and share the wonderful January hostess benefits. I worked hard, did LOTS of parties and shared the hostess and stylist opportunity with as many women as I could. Julie, Sophia and I were in constant contact, making sure we were on track. Julie worked equally hard and I am so proud of her and am happy to say that we are going together to Cancun!

 

Never make assumptions about who may want or need Jewel Kade in their lives; tell everyone! I am thrilled to have welcomed four new stylists to my team in January, and I am amazed to see what they are already doing in the first weeks of their new JK businesses. The enthusiasm is raging for Jewel Kade, our gorgeous jewelry and amazing business opportunity, and I love being able to connect with other inspiring and talented women through my business. It is so cool to bring on a new team member, help her grow her business (if she decides to), AND have so much fun doing it together. Take the time to build and nurture the relationships you have with your customers, hostesses and team members; it is so important and so rewarding! There are not many jobs that allow for this sort of connection, flexibility and earning potential, but you have to be willing to put the time and effort in to reap the rewards. WORK your business as a business and you WILL have success.

 

With the announcement of our next Incentive Trip, I would like to encourage everyone to GO FOR IT! Jewel Kade is giving us ample opportunity to realize our travel dreams (and to even be able to bring a guest), so set your goal and make it happen. Book your calendars with parties and get the double points being offered this month. You will be so happy to have those double points as you work through the qualifying process. If you have a buddy who is a JK Stylist, work together on earning the trip. Set goals with your leader, connect with your buddy on a regular basis to stay motivated and inspired (and of course to commiserate occasionally when you have disappointments), and you will be on your way to the Bahamas!

February Spotlight

 I am SO excited to be experiencing Jewel Kade's first ever incentive trip in Cancun! When it was announced in August at the convention that there would be an incentive trip and what the qualifications were, I really didn't think I would even be close to earning the trip. I signed the incentive board that was on display the last night of the convention signifying my commitment to earning the  

trip but didn't seriously think I would be going to Cancun.



Over the next four months, I was consistently listed with the
other top earners in the trip newsletter, but really take it
seriously. Sophia kept telling me I would be there and of course I
didn't believe her. Even though I didn't believe it, she did and
never gave up on me. Sometimes that's all you need - someone who
believes in you more than you do yourself.

When the qualification points changed in December, Sophia
texted me and said, "You're going to Cancun!" I still didn't believe
I could earn it. I didn't think I could earn over $4,000 in January.
I had a great November and a pretty decent December in sales, but my
January parties had all rescheduled or cancelled. I had nothing on my
book. Needless to say, I kind of gave up hope for the trip.

Nonetheless, I sent out emails with various sales and
incentives and started out January with $1,300. That meant I needed
over $2,600 and one qualified stylist to qualify for the trip. Even
in months when I had a few parties, I didn't always get $2,600 in
sales. I didn't hold out much hope.

Friday, January 20th I received a message from Ginny on my
home phone that told me how many points I needed and that I was SO
close to earning the trip. She knew I could do it! Something within
me didn't want to disappoint Ginny. She believed in me too! That's
when I decided I was going to earn this trip if I it was the last
thing I did.

I called a few of my friends who were in direct sales and had
earned incentive trips and they gave me great ideas for offering sales
and incentives. I sent out emails and made calls to everyone I knew
telling them that I was so close to earning the amazing trip to
Cancun. Amazingly, I had so many people support me who were willing
to place an order. Some people even sent out emails to their contacts
asking for orders for me. I also hit up all of the direct sales
people whom I had bought things from in the past. They ALL placed an
order!

It came down to the wire, but at 11:10 p.m. on the 31st, I
placed my last order which qualified me for the trip! I was so proud
of myself and so grateful to each and every one of the people who
supported me. Of course, Sophia was right there with me the whole
time and never let me give up.

Hopefully my story will inspire other JK stylists to strive to
earn the 2013 incentive trip to the Bahamas because truly if I can do
it, anyone can do it. You just have to believe in yourself.
